Franz Josef is a golden ostrich popping out of the wall and holding the bulb cable in his beak, with a gold metal lamp holder. Seventy-two centimetres of neck and feathers worked one by one: less a wall lamp, more a presence.
He looks great in an entrance, above a console table or next to the bed, and turns a bare wall into the spot everyone looks at. For people who are not afraid to give their lamps a name.
