Time melting away, just like in the surrealist paintings: a silver clock that drips down over the edge of a shelf, a mantelpiece or a bookcase. Set it on the corner and it drapes itself over, limp, as if it were too hot even for the hands.
White face with warped Roman numerals, runs on a single AA battery. An object that gets everyone who walks into your home asking a question.
