A ceramic plate decorated like an old toile de Jouy: scenes of everyday life drawn in a single colour, inside a dense floral border that reaches the rim. The line travels the world (Lisbon, Nanjing, Calcutta, Avignon) and each design tells part of the journey.
The illustrations are pad printed. It's the plate that makes even a dinner thrown together in twenty minutes look planned, and it looks good both on its own and mixed with the other colour.
